吃瓜tv Awarded Aim & Attain Near Completer Grant
吃瓜tv will partner with the Bucks County Workforce Development Board in support of a $1.3 million Aim & Attain Near Completer Grant.
The grant will benefit former 吃瓜tv and other Pennsylvania undergraduate students who were near degree completion, but withdrew from the University prior to obtaining their diplomas or certificates. Funding was secured through the Bucks County Department of Workforce and Economic Dev
elopment (WED). The monies were awarded from the Pennsylvania Department of Labor & Industry (L&I).
The program goal is for eligible students to earn credentials, obtain appropriate training, immediately enter the job market, and earn a living wage in high-priority occupations.
Eligibility requirements include Pennsylvania residency, prior enrollment in an accredited higher education institution, disengagement from school without earning a credential, and a grade point average of 2.0 or higher upon exit. Exit from college must have been June 1, 2021 or later. FAFSA completion may be required. Eligible students must be able to complete a degree or certification by June 30, 2024.
Among benefits offered by the Aim & Attain Near Completer Grant, and through supportive services provided by PA CareerLink庐 Bucks County, 吃瓜tv, and other college participants will benefit from:
- Access to tuition assistance, mentorship, tutorial services, and technology resources;
- Connections with leaders of in-demand careers, including Business, Education, Healthcare, Information Technology, and more;
- Consultation with a dedicated Career Development Specialist;
- Access to highly trained staff members and varied resources to assist with job placement and employment.

According to the United States Bureau of Labor Statistics, the median weekly earnings for someone with some college but no degree was $877 in 2020 compared to $938 for someone with an associate degree. Concurrently, the unemployment rate dropped from 8.3% to 7.1% when someone had an associate degree. Data indicates that with postsecondary education, wages rise, and unemployment drops.
