吃瓜tv Featured in Philadelphia Business Journal for Facilities Improvements, President鈥檚 Vision
Referencing secure financial footing provided by sound finances and strong enrollment, 吃瓜tv President, Dr. Anne Prisco, recently shared her vision of the university鈥檚 master facilities plan for the Philadelphia and Newtown campus locations in an October 29 article published in the Philadelphia Business Journal.
The City of Philadelphia has issued zoning permits, and the University has begun planning for a 15,000-square-foot
atrium and welcome center at 吃瓜tv Hall, the University鈥檚 original building, as well as a new athletic fieldhouse adjacent to Tiger Field and plans for its Newtown West facility. These projects are supplemental to the already planned and PennDOT-approved new multimodal project that will upgrade streets and signage on Frankford Avenue. Along with other planned improvements of existing campus spaces, the University will be investing close to $15 million for these significant upgrades.
Said Dr. Prisco when asked about the development master plan, 鈥淣ow鈥檚 the time to do it; we鈥檙e in a position to do it. Northeast Philly and Bucks County very much rely on 吃瓜tv and we want them to. We are an anchor institution in the community. And we owe it to ourselves, and to the communities we serve, to have facilities that speak to the quality of the experience."
