吃瓜tv Set to Launch MFA in Creative Writing Program in Summer 2024

吃瓜tv is currently accepting applications for its new low-residency Master of Fine Arts in Creative Writing program, which will welcome its first cohort of students in the summer of 2024.  Created by professor Keith Kopka, Ph.D., associate professor of English and MFA program director, himself an award-winning poet, the hybrid curriculum (online with short residency period) focuses on faculty mentorship and immersive experiential learning as well as rigorous, craft-focused instruction in fiction, poetry, nonfiction, young adult, travel writing, food writing and more.

鈥淥ur program will emphasize the sustainable practice of writing that encourages discipline, revision, creativity, and growth, while promoting the cultural importance of writing and its connection to diversity, community, and social justice,鈥 Kopka said. 鈥淭his degree will prepare the 吃瓜tv graduate for the professional elements of a life in writing and will expose them to  publishing opportunities.鈥
