Job Description:

This is primarily a studio maintenance position, and regular cleaning is a significant part of the role. 

Students will clean tools and equipment, wipe down tables and work surfaces, and sweep/mop studio floors as needed after classes. Additional duties include organizing and taking inventory of art supplies and materials, restocking as needed, and rehydrating, wedging, and prepping clay.

Students can also assist with the art gallery, including help with curating, hanging/installing exhibits, and general upkeep of the gallery space.

Qualifications:
  • No prior art experience required, though comfort working with art materials (clay, paint, solvents) is a plus.
  • Must be reliable, detail-oriented, and willing to perform hands-on physical tasks, including cleaning and lifting/moving supplies.
  • Ability to work both independently and as part of a small team. 
  • Interest in visual art or gallery operations preferred but not required.
