Job Description:
  • The Walsh Lab is looking for a highly motivated student interested in working with fruit flies to study the genetic and neural basis of animal behavior.
  • Primary responsibilities include maintaining fly stocks, preparing fly media, and helping with experimental tasks. 
  • This position is ideal for students interested in biology, genetics, neuroscience, or related fields who want hands-on laboratory experience.
Qualifications:
  • No prior laboratory experience is required, although a strong interest in biology, genetics, neuroscience, or animal behavior is preferred.
  • Applicants should be reliable, detail-oriented, willing to learn new laboratory techniques, and comfortable working independently as well as collaboratively.
  • A willingness to work with fruit flies and follow established laboratory protocols is essential.
