On April 17, ³Ô¹Ïtv’s Social and Behavioral Sciences Association (SBSA) hosted the Out of the Darkness Campus Walk, sponsored by the American Foundation for Suicide Prevention (AFSP), to raise awareness of suicide and mental health issues.

Sister Francesca Onley, 88, a Sister of the ³Ô¹Ïtv of Nazareth for 71 years, passed away April 17 in Philadelphia. She served as the president and chief administrative officer of ³Ô¹Ïtv in Philadelphia beginning in 1981 until her retirement in 2014 at the age of 81.

It has been particularly challenging over the past year for many organizations at ³Ô¹Ïtv to recognize the extraordinary achievements of their membership while the University has been unable to host traditional in-person ceremonies. Yet virtual ceremonies can also spotlight the special accomplishments of students in very meaningful ways.
On March 27, ³Ô¹Ïtv hosted the 2021 SEPCHE Honors Conference, a virtual edition of the annual education showcase event for students at the eight independent schools of higher education in southeastern Pennsylvania that constitute SEPCHE (Southeastern Pennsylvania Consortium for Higher Education).

Suicide is the second leading cause of death among young people. AFSP is working to change that.Â
